I know a thoroughly distasteful person named Sam.
Sam is the most cantankerous and negative person you could ever meet.
When there is a problem, Sam would compound it by stating reasons why no solution would ever work.
He would go on about how life is tough and how things would always end up wrong.
He reads up on the chaos in the world and this strengthens his beliefs that everything sucks.
He is a sponge that sucks up the happiness from every occasion and the worst part is I have to work with him.
I tend to avoid Sam because he is like a virus that infects everything he touches.
Spreading vile words and negative ideas he constantly brings me down.
So how do you deal such a negative person.
Two words : deep breaths.
As people we all have choices, we can either decide to see the glass as half full or as half empty.
Yes, the world is a bad and scary place but constantly reminding yourself and other that it is does not help the situation.
So what do you do when you have a constantly have such a negative presence around you?
You avoid them, attention is what they crave and attention is what they won’t should not get.
Life is too short to spend it worrying, grieving or hating.
You need to embrace the positivity and ignore the negative.
So as he starts his daily rants, I plug in my earphones and listen to some cold play.
