Chia Seed- The super seed.

 

Chia is an edible seed that comes from the desert plant Salvia hispanica, which is grown in Mexico. It has been consumed since prehistoric times and was used as an energy booster.

Chia means strength, and this super food is truly a nutritional strong house that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium.

Chia seeds have a mild, nutty flavor of chia seeds and can be used as an alternative to processed grains and they can be added to various foods and beverages such as cereal, sauces, vegetables, rice dishes, or yogurt or mixed into drinks and baked goods.

Some experts say that the seeds would make you feel full and therefore enable you to eat less, but this theory needs to be verified.
